“To promote our students we had designed this festival of short films six years back, this time board decided to amalgamate both the festivals at the same time which has raised the level of ASMS festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of Media Studies. A collection of 44 films made by the students of masters and final year of graduation in the stream of Cinema, Mass communication, Electronic Media and Multi Media submitted their films in competition and screened during the Global Film Festival Noida 2010 from 12th to 14th November. The total 14 films were selected for final screening in the main competition which was inaugurated by a renowned film maker Kundan Shah. “I am astonished by the works done by the students of Asian School of Media Studies.” said Kundan Shah. “Everybody is not that lucky to get facilities like Marwah Studios to make their first professional project” Kundan added. “To be part of this festival, I am feeling lucky, but to be part of this institution you have t to be blessed” said Sharbani Mukerjee the known actress from Mumbai. “Asian School of Media Studies with dual certification Degree and Diploma has left no stone unturned to make their students real professional in real environment that can be seen by looking at the standard of films” said Sangeeth Shivan, a popular film director. International Film and Television Club along with Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) have decided to go ahead with the 4th International festival of Mobile Cinema at Marwah Studios in the third week of January 2010.
The purpose of this two days festival is to unleash the creative spark of the participants by using non traditional means of technology like the Cell Phone and create both motion and still imagery. The festival has slot for seminar, workshop by known film makers followed by Gala networking lunches and dinners All the entries to be created by using a mobile phone. The entries should be original and not infringe on any copy right law. All works to be either uploaded on batchbuzz.com or the body of work can be sent on CD at the festival office at AAFT, Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The last date of registration is 8th-Jan-2011. The video length should be 3 minutes maximum.
The film entries received from various countries will be judged by an international jury in New Delhi and the result for the 9 winner in three categories of the Cell Phone Cinema festival will be announced later. The list of the film entries qualified for the finals, will be disclosed through the Internet.( www.aaft.com)
“We are ready for the show again, idea is to promote young talent who are keen in expressing them selves through this cheapest mode of cinema that is mobile.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and the IFCC announcing 4th festival. The International Film and Television Research centre made it a point to highlight its activities of publication department at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 organized by International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios at Film City Noida from 12th to 14th November.
“It is a wonderful step to release these kind of important books at the time of film festivals so that an awareness about such books can be created for the media, film and TV persons” said Sai Paranjpye, renowned film maker while releasing the book written by 28 senior writers and assimilate by Dr.Om Gupta and Sudesh Sharma of Asian School of Media Studies.

The renowned film maker Sai Paranjpye popularly known for her contribution to Children’s Cinema including films like The Little Tea Shop , Jadu Ka Shankh ,Begaar , Sikander , Sparsh , Chasme Buddoor , Katha , Ados Pados , Angootha Chhaap , Disha , Chooriyan , Saaz , Bhago Bhoot , Chaka Chak , Suee was invited by International Film And Television Club to have workshop with the film makers at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida She has been National Award Winner for her film Sparsh for best Screen Play in the year 1980 and Film for social issues Choodiyan in 1993. She has also been recipient of Film Fare Awards. Sai Paranjpye read her well prepared paper on children’s film. Talking to the Cinema audience and answering to the different questions she confessed that it is difficult today to sell children’s subject without stars and with stars it is unviable that is why she has stopped making movies. Reality is that market for Children’s films is untapped. A middle path has to be adopted. Sandeep Marwah suggested that, “ time has come when we have to widen the horizon of so called Children’s film .It can be with children and also on the issues of children like Tare Zameen Pe, Mr India, etc which are super hit films” Khalid Mohamed said, “No body asks for script for children’s film, it may be suitable for television and channels, and that does not serve our purpose” R.K.Singh persuaded that film maker should not leave the opportunity which he gets from the Government in the form of finance from NFDC or CFSI. Newly framed voluntary organization to highlight literature and drama at Marwah Studios, Shakespeare Society has been formally launched from the platform of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 on the closing of second day of the festival.
Hundreds of film, television and media persons appreciated the gesture of establishing this forum. “We feel that the standard of the film and television production and writing for the same can only be raised with the rise of level of literature, Indian as well as foreign. My visit to Statford-Upon-Avon induced me to start Shakespeare Society” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and GFFN.
The poster release ceremony was conducted by Dr.Ravindran Kurup the writer of many Shakespeare Books, Sarina Joshi, head of Literature in Delhi University who has been researching and writing on Shakespeare from last 20 years, accompanied by Pankaj Parashar, Supran Sen, Joan Ponces De Carvalho, Kuldeep Sinha who all spoke on the subject.
“The launching of Shakespeare Society in this campus on this International platform of GFFN shows the seriousness of the organizers in education, film making and society” said Sarina Joshi.“I am ready to contribute to any extent as far as Shakespeare ideology and writing work is concerned” said Dr Kurup.

A photo exhibition of renowned photographer Rajeev Srivastava was opened at the first day of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 at Marwah Studios Complex with some of the best collection of his works.
“Rajeev has done a commendable job during his visit to different hill stations and brought nature back to the studios” said Sandeep Marwah while introducing the artist to the large audience who all were there at the opening ceremony of Global Film Festival. “Rajeev is the product of Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT) from the camera discipline and has attained the status of national level photographer” added Marwah.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the well known film maker Sudhir Mishra, a leading lady of many films and National Award winner Rituparna Sengupta, Khalid Mohamed known writer director of Indian film Industry, Kuldeep Sinha Director General Film Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and H.E. Carlos A Irigoyen the Dy. Head of Embassy of Peru in India.
“Photography is an art and clicking right still photograph is a tough job” said Sudhir Mishra a popular film director while lighting the lamp. “I am impressed by the wonderful collection of photographs which look like paintings” said Rituparna Sengupta. “Clicking picture needs a lot of concentration like writing a dialogue for one particular situation” said Khali Mohamed. “Collection of photographs is marvelous” said Kuldeep Sinha. “the exhibition is inducing me to use my camera to click some nice pictures” added Carlos A Itigoyen.

The management of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 has joined hands with Indo Nigerian Film Association for the promotion of the festival. The intimation has been sent to different organizations in Nigeria which is one of the largest film producing country of the World.
“We have been associated now with Indo Nigerian Film Association which is promoting film and television business of Indian Films in Nigeria and vice versa” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Film Festival and Marwah Studios. The INFA was framed in India during the visit of high delegation from Nigeria.

International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television, radio production and broadcasting is going to be part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida, 2010 to be scheduled from 12th to 14th November.
The IPBF International Public Broadcasting Forum was earlier busy with Queen’s Baton Relay where 102 days coverage of QBR from Wagah Border to Delhi has been recorded by them for the organizing committee of Commonwealth Games. A documentary and a game’s song were also released recently by IPBF.

Asian Academy of Film And Television on the opening of its 69th batch organized an exhibition of paintings by a well known and award winning artist from Orissa Tapan Dash at Marwah studios campus to promote art with the students of film, television and media.
“Painting is the beginning of all arts, it develops a sense of colours and its use” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director AAFT. “We believe the student of film, television and media must understand the importance of other fine arts in life to grow as a matured media person” Marwah added.
“I am impressed by the amalgamation of fine arts with the art of cinema at AAFT. It is not only necessary but essential for media person to have vast knowledge of different subjects” said Asit Mittal a social worker, builder, film maker and Governor of Rotary International while inaugurating the exhibition.

International Film And Television Research Centre, the first film research organization in India in private sector has once again joined hands with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010 with the emphasis on Children’s films. to be held from 12th November to 14th November 2010. IFTRC, who have recently celebrated 18th year of its existence in India has already conducted research on children’s film and television programs in last so many years. The research centre is associated with number of national and international film and television personalities, film makers and professors. “We will be happy to associate International Film And Television Research Centre with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010, as IFTRC is planning to release its books and publications during the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival in a joint meeting of GFF and IFTRC. The three days festival will be held at the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. GFF is the first International film festival of the city Noida which has been the fastest growing city in the World.

The International Film And Television Club, a body conducting seminars, symposiums, national and international film festivals, interaction programs, cultural festivals now going ahead with the planning and designing of 3rd Global Festival of Children’s Film.
The earlier two were Global Festival of Films on Peace and Spirituality and Global Festival of Documentary Films. Both were super successful programs conducted by IFTC and the venue was Noida Film City.
This time also the venue will remain same. This festival has become the first International Film Festival of the city Noida. The film City at Noida is the fastest growing film city in the World spread out in almost 100 acres of land.
“We are happy that Noida Film City has been again finalized for the festival. Last year we saw 17 events in 3 days of Global Festival including screenings, workshops, openings, releases, seminars etc” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of International Film And Television Club.

Sandeep Marwah, the renowned media personality and an International record holder of producing largest number of shorts films in the World, was representing films, Television and media Industry in Queen’s Baton Relay. He has been a media Guru and has trained more than 8000 persons from 75 countries.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. in a ceremonial gesture along with state tourism minister Bina Kak handed over the Baton to Olympic silver medalist Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore at Amar Jawan Jyoti. A light drizzle and overcast conditions could not dampen the mood of thousands of people including students lined up both sides of the path holding national flags and showering floral tributes. The convoy was accompanied by CWG mascot Shera, chief secretary Salauddin Ahmed, Jaipur MP Mahesh Joshi, secretary of sports and youth affairs, Rohit Kumar Arjun Award winners like Gopal Saini, Kuldeep Singh Garcha, Shriram Singh, Rajkumar, Surendra Kataria, Hanuman Singh, Dyanchand, Salim Durani were prominent among the sportspersons who joined the rally. The six-km course was dotted with hoardings and banners on the Games.
QBR culminated at Hawa Mahal after passing through MI Road, Sanganeri Gate and Chotte Chaupad. A cultural program at Jawahar Kala Kendra marked the event. The Baton will proceed to Jodhpur on Thursday and after passing through Jaisalmer and Bikaner, it will move into Haryana on 26th September. The Baton will complete its 20,000 km journey before reaching New Delhi on September 30.

DAMAN, 13 September 2010: The Queens Baton Relay 2010 Delhi entered the Union territory of Daman and Diu with Multimedia Team of Marwah Studios with great fanfare. Cheering school children greeted the baton. Traditional Garba dancers of Daman, the city of twin forts, performed the colourful dance.
On its route, the relay passed through the streets and markets of the town where people gathered to witness the event. At Moti Daman, the traditional Daman ‘Machch‘dance was performed as part of the function.
Earlier in the day, the baton was received by Member of Parliament from Daman and Diu Mr. Lalubhai Patel and other Government officials.
The baton then left for Silvassa, capital of the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. At Silvassa, the reception and the assemblage was phenomenal. The city avenues were full of cheering crowds, young and old. In an effort to conserve our environment, a tree plantation was held at Swami Narayan School.
The convoy then proceeded to Shaheed Chowk where the relay began. Traditional dancers and performers also lined up on the route. After the relay, the convoy reached Silvassa Stadium. Here a cultural programme was organised for the welcome of the baton. The Queen’s Baton Relay which was received at Wagah Boarder by Indians from Pakistan has already traveled a long distance from north to south a journey of 68 days which will be completing 100 days when it is back at Delhi for final games.

The Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi commenced from Buckingham Palace, London, on the 29 October 2009. The baton has travelled through all other 70 Commonwealth nations – a historic journey that has covered a distance of more than 170,000 kilometers in 240 days. On its 100 day national tour, the baton will visit the capital of each of India’s 28 states and seven union territories, plus many other cities along the way, covering more than 20,000 kilometers. By the end of its journey, the baton will have traversed over 190,000 kilometers in 340 days, making the Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi one of the longest relays in the history of the Commonwealth Games.

Sanjay spent almost whole day with the film, TV and media students to answer their quarries. Excited students asked for autographs, clicked photographs with the star and clapped with every answer which was full of experience. The people who spoke on the occasion were R.K. Singh dean ASMS, Kalyan Sarkar dean AAFT, Latika Sahani dean ABS and Satish Anand dean ASPA. The event was supported by International Film And television Club.

Recently formed forum after the name of ‘Father Of The Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi under the Chairmanship of Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios and a true Gandhian is now being supported by many National and International level organizations. “We are very happy that Mahatma Gandhi Forum being supported by not only 8000 media persons but also by number of national and International setups” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of the Gandhi Forum. “We have already announced scholarship for all those who are ready to take up the research papers, write ups etc on Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi” added Marwah who has been spreading teachings of Gandhi from last 30 years. It is also proposed to have books library and a video library on Gandhi in the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. The next venture will be placing of Gandhian Chair with Asian Education Group. Nearly 1000 persons from different fields of Media supported Sandeep Marwah in the cause. It was an electrifying performance by the students of ASMS in a jam packed hall. Saying good bye to senior students of Asian School Of Media Studies by juniors via music, dance, song, drama and presentation of mementos made the whole environment loving and emotional.
Speaking on the occasion the Director Sandeep Marwah reminded all the media students their duties and responsibilities towards society. He said, “The roads may be beautiful but you need willingness and ability to walk on them, you may be producing the best of product in print, radio, television, cinema or new media never forget that it is for the audience thus you cannot forget masses.”
“We have put in our best as far as education, co circular activities, practical, interactions, productions, visits of dignities, workshops, seminars etc are concerned now it is your turn to prove to be the best student of ASMS” said Prof. R.K.Singh dean Asian School Of Media Studies reminding of their approaching exams.
The program was attended by all the faculty members including Dr. Latika sahani dean ABS, Dr. Om Gupta dean writing dept. The students also selected miss and mr. ASMS for this year 2009-2010.

“Acting is like a prayer, and preparation for it is like devotion” said veteran Actor Kiran Kumar who started his carrier under his father’s blessings, Jeevan who happens to be renowned actor himself. “Believe in yourself and give your self totally to your director with full faith” he added. “Respect your teachers, your institution and your parents, their blessings can take you to any heights” Kiran said while answering the questions of young actors learning at Asian School of Performing Arts at AAFT.
“It is our proud privilege that a very talented actor is giving life time experience notes to our students of Performing Arts.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios and Director of Asian School of Performing Arts while handing over life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to Kiran Kumar.
Kiran Kumar a Filmfare award winner has already worked in more than 80 Gujrati Films, 400 Hindi Feature Films including Julie, Aisi Deewangi, LOC Kargil, Aandhi, Junoon, Gaddar, Khuda Gawah,Tezaab,Henna, and 5500 episodes of different serials already telecasted at every popular channel .He is running his own event management company and a well known production house.
The film and television students were more than happy to interact with the film personality at length. The event was attended by the deans and faculties of the school and supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, Radio Noida and IPBF.

The festival of Animation films from Japan ‘Anime Cine Experience’ was inaugurated at Siri Fort with great pomp and show. The festival which has been designed by the voluntary organization Cine Darbar supported by Directorate of Film festivals of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Embassy of Japan in India, Japan Foundation and AAFT’s Asian School of Graphics And Animation as knowledge partners. “We are here at Siri Fort to promote film business to great extend, this animation film festival is one in the series as animation films are becoming part of our daily routine” said S.M.Khan, Director General and Director of Directorate of Film festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India while inaugurating the festival. “We are very happy to support this festival as all films shown in this festival are from my country. I am excited that Japanese product has impressed Indian” said Kojira Uchiyama, Director, Japan Information Centre, “Our role is to support all that which is connected to Japan.” said Nao Endo, Director General, The Japan Foundation in New Delhi. “The Animation and Gamming business is coming up in a big way in India. There are 300 companies working in this industry with almost 12000 people. Another 3000 people working on free lancing bases. The turnover has touched almost 1600 crores including 600 crores as export of services. The industry is growing at the rate of 15 percent but the best part is that we are just 2 percent of the World Business” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of Graphics and Animation. Anime Cine Experience has brought great anime works of Japan with films like ‘The Girl who leapt through time’, ‘Grave of the fireflies’, ‘5cm per second’, ‘Voices of Distant Star’ and ‘The Place Promised in Our Early Days’
