Tamils shoot down Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kites’

Hrithik-RoshanIn reply to Hrithik Roshan’s contribution in IIFA despite the boycott call from the SIFCC, his ‘Kites’ has been taken off from the theatres in Tamil Nadu. Theaters screening ‘Kites’ canceled its shows from yesterday after a request to ban was handed over to the theater authorities by the pro-Tamil out fit ‘ Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam‘. Requests have also been sent to other south Indian states to ban the movie.

It may be recalled that the entire South Indian Film Industry under the banner of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce decided to boycott the award function alleging that it was being held in a ”blood stained” nation where innocent Tamils were killed by the Mahinda Rajapakse government during its oppression against Tamils last year. The apex body earlier appealed to Bollywood to not to “dance in the graveyard”.
