We would like to introduce our readers to Naresh K from uk, who we believe will be a massive success in Bollywood with tremendous crossover potential to Hollywood.  Naresh is currently managed by talent extraordinaire Naila Mughal out of the United Kingdom. Like many big names in the past Naresh K. was chosen by Mahiram.com founders Riaz Ladha and Neeraj Kamra as he represents a crop of fresh talent ready to make a mark in the acting world.

Naresh K. spoke to Mahiram.com recently from his home in Mumbai, India.

Q: For those who don’t know Naresh, do enlighten our readers as to who you are? Where are you from?

A: My name is Naresh k and i am an international male actor and model born and raised in the United Kingdom.

Q: How did you get into the world of modelling?

A: Modelling began as a part-time job while at university but as time went by, I took it more seriously as I began to get a lot of work and more exposure.

Q: What have you achieved so far in this field and how did you get it?

A: I have modelled for many international brands including TVC for Nokia, print and Editorial Ad campaigns for  Paul Smith London, Kenneth Cole, Ben Sherman, face of JJ Valaya to name a few, and appeared in magazines for international brands in GQ, Vogue, Verve, L’officiel.  I’ve always believed you have to be pushy and determined to get a foothold in such a competitive line. Have patience and grit and the work will definitely come to you! As being persistent is the key.

Q: What form of training have you had in acting?

A; I have had experience of acting and have studied the art at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama (BSSD), and School of Asian Performing Arts (SAPA) in the UK, also at Anupam Kher’s School for Actors since being in Mumbai. In the UK I have also toured nationally as part of a major productions, which attracted critical acclaim. Alongside my acting studies in Mumbai, i have also had Hindi and Dance lessons to perfect my skills.

Q: Are you interested in working in Bollywood or mainstream?

A:  Well there has been and continues to be a lot of emphasis on the globalization of Bollywood, Bollywood films are regularly screened at foreign film festivals, and foreign companies have been investing in bollywood so bollywood is mainstream in itself as it is a self-sufficient industry, but as an actor if the script is right and very interesting then obviously I would love to work within bollywood and international projects for British feature films and Hollywood.

Q: What kind of roles would you like to do?

A: I want to do character driven roles and be a versatile actor, so waiting for a particular opportunity, the key role is the key especially if you want longevity in this industry and to be regarded as a serious actor.

Q: Who do you consider an idol?

A: I consider many idols in Bollywood from Dilip Kumar to Amir Khan.
Q:  Now I read on your web page that you have a keen interest in health, fitness and nutrition? For someone who desires to remain fit like you, do share some health and fitness tips? And work-out tips?

A: I am a very active individual so sports and weight-training is a part of my everyday life to stay in shape.  I have devised a special nutritional diet plan and successful training regime which incorporates 6 small portion meals every 2 to 3 hours low carbohydrate hi protein diet and working out 6 days a week.

Q: How did you meet Naila Mughal, who herself is a star amongst the stars in the world of bollywood?

A: Well I had come across Naila’s website which was recommended to me, which showed how connected she was throughout the entertainment industry. The website showcased major projects she had done, which quite frankly really impressed me. So then I thought why not give it a shot, contacted Naila arranged a meeting and well the rest is history…

Q: How does it feel to have Naila Mughal as your Manager knowing that she manages the likes of Dino Morea and works alongside all the bollywood actors, the likes of ShahRukh Khan and Salman Khan?

A: Having Naila as my manager I find myself to be very lucky individual and she is very hard working and has a substantial amount of knowledge and experience about the entertainment industry. This will allow me to take right directions under her guidance to reach our goal.

Q: How would you want the next five years to be?

A: My future plans are to hopefully make a mark as an established actor and to use my success for good causes and to inspire others.

Q: – (Question for Naila Mughal) – Naila, tell us how you came to be Naresh’s manager?

NAILA PIC 2Naila Mughal – When I first met Naresh, I instantly felt that he had the potential to make a difference with his acting career. First of all, he is very hard working, talented, enthusiastic and very focused. Of course, he obviously also has a great physique and sticks to his strict nutrition plan to maintain a good body. This, as you know, takes a great deal of dedication. Secondly, Naresh is very established as an interntaional model, and has had good acting experience. This combination, plus that “little something extra” which is hard to describe, made me sure that with the right opportuniites, he should go far. I am sure my decision to become his manager was fairly obvious, and I will support him the best way I can.
