It was a damp but exciting sartorial kick-start to the 2010 Golden Globes, after much anticipation the celebrities in attendance brought their style A-game to the red carpet, rain or shine! Here are the verdicts for the best and worst dressed straight from the red carpet:

Best Dressed

1. Marion Cottilard – Marion looked absolutely stunning, impeccably styled in a gorgeous deep green Dior gown, the clear winner of the night
2. Penelope Cruz –an homage to vintage glam Hollywood, Penelope shone in a form-fitted Armani couture gown
3. Emily Blunt – looked divine in a feathery pink gown by Dolce & Gabana
4. Nicole Kidman – in a beautiful cream Nina Ricci gown, Nicole looked absolutely glamorous as always
5. Cameron Diaz – is no stranger to colour, and this year she proved it yet again by wearing a striking red gown by Alexander Mcqueen

Worst Dressed

1. Rita Wilson – her dress looked liked it would fare better on a curtain rod as drapes! The shape was fine, but the all over print did not work
2. Julianne Moore – even though she arrived with Tom Ford, a fashion icon, the shapelessness of this dress did not do Julianne Moore any fashion justice
3. Zoe Saldana – Zoe has been pleasing the fashion gods so far however after tonight she may be trouble, after that raggedy mess she wore
4. Tina Fey – we all know Tina Fey is a comic genius, she did not fare as well in the world of red carpet fashion. The dress itself is not bad, however the length does not work for her at all
5. Christina Aguilera – this dress was, can I say, tacky? Yes I said it, maybe it was the way she was stylized but Christina in true Christina fashion looked garish in this gown.
