Vidya Malvade, Shobana and Manisha Koirala at Kathak Concert

Madhurita Sarang Dance Music & Festival (MSDMF) 2009 witnessed tribute from eminent performers including National Award winner Padmashri Shobhana Chandrakumar, followed by a first ever classical performance by the Chak De India fame, Vidya Malvade, Ranjit Barot an artist of instinctive musicality gifted with absolute mastery of the instrument, well known Kathak dancer, Sandeep Mahavir and a performance by Manganyar group of Jaisalmer.
MSDMF 2009 awardees were the Kathak Queen Shrimati Sitara Devi and the Maestro of Sarangi, Ustad Sultan Khan Sahab. Also present at the occasion were Salim Sulaiman, the Chak De girls, Roopkumar Rathod, Sonali Rathod, Hariharan and Ismail Darbar. The concert was held at Ravindra Natya Mandir and the entry was only by invitation.
