Actor Akshay Kumar created quite a stir at the Lakme Fashion Week, held in the city. It was not so much his starry presence, but what he did at the show which did that, but now his gimmick seems to have landed him in a soup.
At the show, the actor was modeling for a brand of jeans. It was all fine till he was strutting on the ramp. But then, in a sudden move, the actor went over to his wife Twinkle Khanna, who was sitting on the first row and got her to unbutton his jeans. This gimmick, which is all what it probably was, has landed the actor in a spot of trouble as a social activist has filed a written complaint against the actor, his wife and the organizers for obscenity in public. The actor has subsequently even apologized for his publicity stunt, saying he did not mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments. The social activist has called for Akshay to return his Padmashri award and said that he was a youth icon, who has shamed the nation with his behaviour.
