Chris Brown up for a Nickelodeon award

A Nickelodeon executive told TMZ that Chris “was nominated by kids several months ago, and the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins in the category.”
So since Nick is sticking to its rules with the nomination process, then if for some reason Chris actually gets enough votes to win, they’ll actually present him with an award? That sounds bonkers to me. Plus, what does it teach kids when an alleged abuser can still be nominated for awards?
