Hrithik still drives in the Big Bucks

hrithik_roshanIn the times of recession and financial crunch, where new film projects are coming to a halt and actors’ fees are being slashed, one man seems to beat the odds. Hrithik Roshan starrer, Kites, has been sold for an unprecedented Rs 110 crores. Producer Rakesh Roshan has managed to sell the worldwide marketing and distribution rights of the much hyped film to Big Pictures, the film production arm of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group.

Rakesh Roshan has mentioned that his production company, Filmkraft, would also be entitled to a share in the overseas profits of Kites. Film analysts say the final figure available to Rakesh Roshan may well be in the range of Rs 150 crore. The film’s selling price has created a record in the film industry, beating the price of Ghajini and Singh is Kinng.

The film Kites stars Hritihik Roshan and top Latin actress, Barbara Mori and is directed by Anurag Basu.
