Indian megastar Amitabh Bacchan was honoured with World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Crystal Award here for his contribution to the world of art.

Noted Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer Mallika Sarabhai was also honoured Saturday along with Chinese martial artist and actor Jet Li and Venezuelan musician José Antonio Abreu.

The WEF is a Geneva based non-profit organisation and brings together top business leaders, political leaders, and selected intellectuals to discuss the most pressing issues worldwide.

This year marks the 39th annual gathering of the organization which focused largely on the growing economic depression which has crippled the world market.
